Medical care at Westminster Village Muncie’s Health Center is second to none.
State licensed for long term care, Medicare and Medicaid Certified, the Health Center is staffed with medical professionals around-the-clock, providing an individual plan of care for each resident. It is our goal to ensure the highest possible quality of life for every resident in a comfortable and secure setting.
Comfortable and spacious private or semi-private suites are available, each with a nurse call system. Every room is individually temperature controlled. Security personnel are on duty at all times. The Health Center is also protected by an automatic sprinkler system, electronic heat and smoke detectors and an electronic security alarm system. Telephone, cable TV and computer hookups are available in each room. Personal items like furniture, bedspreads, wall hangings and curios that provide a touch of home are all welcome.
In addition to an on-site private physician, several local doctors make calls to the Health Center. A podiatrist, dentist, optometrist and geriatric psychiatrist are available as needed. If a trip to a doctor’s office is required, transportation is available on one of our Village buses. Individualized physical, occupational and speech therapy programs are designed by one of our own licensed professionals.
A broad range of activities, entertainment programs, group projects and other special events are planned to meet the creative, recreational, social, spiritual and educational needs of each resident.
